What Artis brings to the table
Artis started on the operational side, working as Financial Controller at Sirenum, a London-based HR tech startup that was later acquired. Returning to the Baltics, he helped grow the local ecosystem through TechChill, curating founders and investors for the region’s top tech event.
He broke into venture with Acrobator Ventures, a Dutch seed fund backing CEE diaspora founders, before joining Vendep Capital in 2020 as an Investment Analyst. Since 2023, he’s been building on that journey as Investment Manager, focused on finding and backing standout B2B SaaS teams across the Nordics and Baltics.

What’s a book or podcast that changed how you think?
An interview with Joe Gebbia (Airbnb co-founder) made me realize how much product obsession matters. Since then, I’ve become fixated on how great products, ones that feel inevitable, are what truly set companies apart.

What’s something you’ve changed your mind about recently?
During the covid epidemic, I was pretty skeptical about the next generation, I thought they might struggle navigating the real-world. But with the AI wave, I’ve completely changed my view. They’re digital-first, move fast, and are already challenging how we operate. It’s very exciting to watch.
What’s your most-used app (besides Slack and email)?
Revolut. I’ve used it for over a decade, and it’s completely reset my expectations for what digital banking should feel like. Traditional banks just don’t cut it anymore. They’ve got me hooked.
