Behavix early team

The $2.5M seed funding, co-led with Superhero Capital with the participation of a host of notable industry leaders and angel investors, helps accelerate the behavioral data company’s growth on a global scale.

Behavix reshapes how organizations access and utilize behavioral intelligence. By partnering with online panels, Behavix collects and processes opt-in, privacy-first behavioral data at scale, delivering actionable insights from real-world consumer behaviors to enterprises across industries.

The company was founded in 2023 by Hannu Verkasalo and Surath Chatterji, both veterans in the market research industry, as they wanted to empower businesses with actionable insights using ethical and transparent consumer behavioral data. Now, they have successfully closed a $2.5M seed funding round led by Nordic venture capital firms Vendep Capital and Superhero Capital with participation from a host of notable industry leaders and angel investors.

“With the backing of Vendep, Superhero, and our outstanding angel investors, we are now poised to accelerate Behavix’s growth on a global scale,” said Hannu Verkasalo, CEO and Co-Founder of Behavix. “This funding is a testament to the incredible work of our team and the immense potential of our solutions for connecting the supply and demand side of the behavioral data market. Behavioral data is the future of market research, and Behavix is leading the charge to redefine how businesses understand consumers and can act on all this information. I am incredibly proud of what we have built in 2024 and excited for what’s ahead in 2025-2026.”

With this seed round, Behavix is set to expand its operations and capabilities in key areas, including:

  • Scaling its ecosystem of audience partnerships to further strengthen behavioral data collection and making the Behavix-powered ecosystem the biggest of its kind.
  • Doubling down on AI and machine learning to enhance data value and provide even richer data solutions and related insights for businesses.
  • Accelerating product development to introduce new behavioral data solutions to the market for different industry verticals.
  • Expanding go-to-market efforts, particularly in the US, to capitalize on growing demand for behavioral intelligence.

This funding also brings strategic expertise to Behavix, as Sami Ahvenniemi, General Partner at Vendep Capital and Juha Ruohonen, General Partner at Superhero Capital join the company’s Board of Directors, complementing the co-founders Surath Chatterji and Hannu Verkasalo who were already in the board.

“Behavix is solving one of the most pressing challenges in the data-driven world - providing businesses with deep, scalable, and objective consumer-focused data solutions,” said Sami Ahvenniemi, General Partner at Vendep Capital. “Their approach is groundbreaking, leveraging behavioral data in a way that has never been leveraged before. We see Behavix as a key player in the future of market research and digital intelligence, and we’re excited to support their journey.”

As the world transitions to an AI-driven economy, behavioral data will become an indispensable resource, enabling businesses to make better decisions, optimize strategies, and understand consumers with unparalleled depth. Behavix is at the forefront of this revolution, leading the charge in unlocking the full potential of behavioral data.

We’re beyond excited to start working with Hannu, Surath and the experienced team and help them in this journey!
