EzyInsights, a viral content discovery tool for publishers and content providers, has received new financing to fuel its international growth and expansion into new markets. The capital raised was provided by a group of Finnish and international investors led by Vendep Startup Fund.
EzyInsights tracks media content all around the world and measures its performance on social media in real time to identify the most interesting news. Based on the results, Publishers can tailor the content accordingly to increase the traffic. The company’s customers include leading media houses and content providers in Finland and Sweden, with brands such as Aftonbladet, Svenska Dagbladet, Metro, Dagens Nyheter, Helsingin Sanomat, Iltalehti, MTV and more.
“EzyInsights is changing the way newsrooms work. In the digital media, journalists and editors have to react and collaborate within the team much faster and more dynamically than ever before or risk becoming obsolete. To compete online, you need the fastest tool on the market, which is why we now dominate the extremely competitive Nordic markets. The feedback from our customers has been terrific because we have an immediate positive impact on traffic and enable the whole editorial team to shift towards a truly data informed way of working. Which is directly shown in the results, working with EzyInsights, a Swedish morning newspaper increased their revenue by 40% in ten months, another customer in the business sector reported a 200% increase in traffic from the previous year. We’re very excited to secure this round as it will enable us to speed up the rollout of our solution to international markets.” EzyInsight’s CEO Duane Atkins says.
”Vendep Startup Fund’s investment follows our accelerator investment almost three years ago. We at Vendep are happy to see that EzyInsights has reached strong international traction and are successfully following their growth strategy. The team has proven they understand the needs of their customers and are able to provide them with solutions that truly reduce the complexity of content discovery analytics,” Vendep’s Senior Partner Jupe Arala says.
